Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Investigators and Deputies made two arrests on July 10, 2014 that closes three burglary and theft investigations.  Steven Burfield was questioned regarding his involvement with a burglary and theft of multiple weapons that occurred on July 8, 2014 in the Burnout Community.  Officers then obtained a search warrant for a residence on Zollie Barnes Road in Russellville and located Dedrick White, a convicted felon.  The search produced various drugs that were seized, including marijuana and crack cocaine.  Two Stihl weed eaters and 1 Stihl Chainsaw were also located at the residence.  The weapons were hidden at another location that White then directed law enforcement to.  Recovered were eleven long guns and 1 handgun that all were previously reported stolen.

Steven Ray Burfield, Jr., 27 of Red Bay, was arrested and charged with Theft of Property 1^st, Theft of Property 2^nd, 2 counts of Burglary 3rd, and Criminal Mischief.

Dedrick Eugene White, 35 of Russellville, was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property 2^nd, Receiving Stolen Property 3^rd, Possession of Marijuana 1^st and 3 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance.

This release sent out today, 7/15/14, is a corrected version of the one issued yesterday.  Steven Ray Burfield’s charges were corrected to show the 2 counts of Burglary 3^rd instead of the Burglary 2^nd that was previously listed.
